Nothing is annoying as having the expectation of loading your airtime only to find out that it has been used by another customer especially when there is an urgent or important call to pass across. I have been a victim severally and words cannot express my level of bitterness and anger. Here are some few steps to avoid being a victim again.

Load it there
It is a safer approach, try to carry the phone you want to recharge along with you. with this the seller can easily agree to changing the airtime if it has been used

Rough and Dirty
Any rough looking airtime should be bought with caution. Don't let the seller cajole you with the trick that it fell.

Cards without Closure
Cards that are being enclosed with pins and the likes are most likely not the used ones.
